Sponsor a Cat Pen

All cats in our care are looked after by a team of dedicated volunteer fosterers in garden pens or in their own homes until a new home can be found.

 The number of cats accommodated by each pen during a year can reach double figures and it is essential that we have sufficient pens to supply all the cats in need with all the comforts of home, to make their stay with us as pleasant as we can.

Unfortunately for many cats their arrival can be a traumatic experience, especially if they have lost their owner, home and sense of security all in one go.

Suddenly finding themselves in an outdoor pen, surrounded by strange cats, and in some cases outside for the first time in their lives, can cause a great deal of stress.

Our fosterers do their very best to ensure these cats are well cared for and given as much love and affection as possible, but without a doubt, a comfy fleece, and some toys with which to interact as well as some delicious food treats all help them to adjust to these changes in their lives.

Which is why we need your help, as the costs involved can be huge, with Vet Bills, food, litter, essentials, heating, lighting, the list is endless.

The sponsoring of a cat pen, gives you the opportunity of helping these cats, by sending a regular amount by standing order each month, all of which will be spent on the sponsor pens and the cats that live there.

In return you will be awarded a Certificate of Sponsorship, and on a quarterly basis a ‘Special Pen Newsletter’ of your pen, including stories and photos of the occupants, giving you the chance to experience what it’s like working as a volunteer for Cats Protection.

You will also have the opportunity to visit your chosen pen from time to time, by pre-arrangement, to meet the occupants, and who knows, you may even be able to help us with re-homing by spreading the word.

You can sponsor a cat pen from as little as £3.00 per month, the amount is entirely up to you.

Just think about it, for as little as £3.00 per month you could help, not just one cat in need, but hundreds.

For a one-off payment of £10 you could be sent a diary of the cats who have occupied one of our sponsor pens for the past year!

Your donation of £10 will still go towards helping those cats that will occupy that pen in the future!
