Our Homing Officer will arrange a convenient time for a home visit, this involves one of our volunteers visiting you in your own home to assess its suitability as a cat friendly home.  Our prime concern is that the home is safe e.g. not on a busy main road, it also provides you with an opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

Once your home has been approved you will be invited to view cats for possible adoption.

Once the cats have been placed at your home, there is a two week settling down period for both the new arrivals and yourself.  Cats Protection are still responsible for the cats welfare in this period.

After the two week settling down period has passed, the adoption takes place with responsibility for the cat transferring from the Branch to you.
