Remembering The Worthing Cats Protection in your Will

What will become of my cat when I'm not there?

Securing your cats future.

Worries over the future of a cat when you die should not deter you from having one, if your cat does out live you we will find it a new home. One where it can again share the comfort and love that you have given it.  We do not expect you to provide financially for this event, however if you do wish to remember us in your will details are below.

To Remember us in your Will.

As you probably already know we make no charges for cats that we home, all the money that we raise or that is bequeathed to us by cat lovers is used directly to help cats.  If you would like to consider leaving a bequest to us, there are various ways to do this.  The following information is designed as a guide, the sum itself must be bequeathed to our headquarters at Horsham as that is the registered address of the charity.

A Fixed Sum Legacy.

This is if you wish to leave a certain sum, the format for this should be as follows:

I give to Cats Protection of

National Cat Centre

Chelwood Gate

Haywards Heath

West Sussex

RH17 7TT

the sum of £............  to be applied for the benefit of The Worthing & District Branch of Cats Protection and I declare that the receipt of the Chief Executive or other proper officer shall be sufficient discharge for the same.

A Residual Amount.

This is for leaving unspecified amounts after other bequests:

I give all my residuals of my estate both real and personal to Cats Protection of

National Cat Centre

Chelwood Gate

Haywards Heath

West Sussex

RH17 7TT

absolutely to be applied for the benefit of the Worthing & District Branch of Cats Protection and I declare that the receipt of the Chief Executive or other proper officer shall be sufficient discharge for the same.

Of course, a solicitor can advise you on other variations that you may prefer, this is intended as a guide and you may like to also consider stating your wishes regarding your cats future in your will.
